Timisoara City Tour

Timisoara has one of the most green downtown in Romania. Our trip will start from a Orthodox cathedral, which is placed in one of many city parks. Next, we will head to the Huniade Castle, which house a Banat Museum. We will cross the Victory Square, one of the central points of the city, surrounded by many monuments. The second important square is Piata Unirii, with two cathedrals – Roman Catholic and Serbian Orthodox. Before we will get there, we move for a while to the newest history, in the museum of 1989 Revolution. The finishing point of our tour is a ethnography museum, placed inside the 18th century bastion.

Cluj – Napoca City Tour

Transylvania is famous from its medieval, walled cities, located here by Saxon settlers. One of them, Cluj – Napoca, is now an important cultural and administrative centre, but its well preserved old city remain atmosphere of Middle Ages.
Our tour will start on a Avram Iancu Square, where stands a monument of this national hero. Later, passing by an Opera House, will get to the oldest remainder of a city wall – Tailor’s Bastion. On the same square stand also Greek Catholic Cathedral. After short walk through the streets lined by historical monuments – churches of different denominations, as a sign of cultural mix present in Cluj-Napoca, the University and other academies buildings, palaces of noble citizens – we get to the Piata Unirii, the main square of the city, dominated by Gothic St. Michael church. On the square lies also Banffy Palace, masterpiece of baroque architecture, which house Museum of National Art. The tour will finish on a opposite side of the river, on a citadel hill, from where you would see panorama of all city.

Turda from Targu Mures

In the small, but historically important city of Turda, you can find one of the oldest salt mines in Europe. Opened in 13th century, now offers visitors unique experience of exploring its interior and learn a history of salt mining in the region. On the very bottom there is even a lake with little boats. Special micro climate (always about 10-12 Celsius degrees, remember about something warm to wear) is considered as very healthy, so many people spent there more time, than just visiting. For them, there is a little amusement park, with such activities as mini golf or bowling.
Our tour, besides mine visiting, include also short walk in the town, with some nice baroque and hungarians monuments.

Poienari and Transfagarasan Highway from Targu Mures

Over 30% of Romanian surface is covered by Carpathian Mountains, the highest of which are Fagaras Mountains (over 2,500 m high). In 1970s Nicolae Ceausescu, communist leader, ordered to build a route going strictly through this mountains.
We would like to invite you on an amazing tour through the most picturesque views in Romania. During 90 kilometers long ride you would admire Moldoveanu Peak, and second highest – Negoiu, with their sharp stone crests, and green valleys long way down.
Carpathian Mountains offer you not only amazing view, they are also strongly connected with Dracula legends. Not far from Transfagarasan, on the southern side, stands Poienari castle, the real fortress of Vlad Tepes. Better known Bran Castle may be better preserved, but only after climbing 1480 steps to the Poienari ruins, you would feel authentic atmosphere of Dracula’s abode. It is said, that castle is haunted.
Going back to Targu Mures, we will stop in Balea Lake chalet, at the highest point of Transfagarasan Route.

Transylvania walled cities – from Targu Mures

In 12th century Transylvania was under the rule of Saxons, who, after the invasion of Turks, decided to fortify seven cities from the region. Three of them you can visit on our one day trip from Targu Mures.
The first one, Medias, is least known and missed by most of tourist groups, but it does not means, that its not worth visiting. Short walk between merchants’ houses and visit in fortified church of st. Margaret, will let you feel the atmosphere of Middle Ages.
Later we will go to Sibiu, one of Transylvanian pearls. Its old city consist of two parts, Upper and Lower, connected by Passage of Steps, medieval stairway which is one of Sibiu’s most picturesque sites. The other city landscapes are the Bridge of Lies, Great and Small Squares, Council Tower and other city towers, the oldest dating back to the 15th century.
The last one, Sigishoara, is also very popular tourist destination. House of Vlad Dracula’s birth and childhood, medieval towers and bastions, covered stairway to the Gothic “Church on a Hill”, combine as a place, which everyone should see.

Brasov and Bran Castle from Targu Mures

Brasov is one of most popular Transilvanian cities. On this one day trip from Targu Mures we will see the remainders of citadel, the famous black church which is no black at all, and a narrowest street in Romania – Rope Street. We will start on a council square, surrounded by old merchants houses, where stands Old Town Hall, and finish on a Tampa mountain – natural reservation with amazing view of the city. You can choose, how we get there – by an hour of hiking, or few minutes of cable car ride.
From Brasov we will go To Bran Castle, known as a Dracula’s Castle. This 600 years old castle may be not the real abode of Vlad Tepes, but its „fairy-tale” appearance attract hundreds of tourist every year.

Sighisoara from Targu Mures

On this one day trip we will take you to one of the most beautiful medieval cities of Transylvania. In Sighisoara we will see remainders of original citadel – gates, towers and bastions. We will visit the house, where famous Vlad Dracula was born and we will climb 175 steps of scholars stairs, medieval, covered stair-passage which lead to the „Church on the Hill”. On a Citadel square, main square of the city, we will admire clock tower’s figurines, which move on every full hour. Than we visit History Museum, placed in a Tower and a church of the Dominican Monastery, located nearby.

Targu Mures City Tour

Our visiting of Targu Mures will start from a fortress, Cetatea Medievala. Built in 1492, was later reconstructed, but some of the oldest buildings, including fortress church, last till today. From citadel we will head to the main square of the city, Piata Trandafirilor (Roses Square), which is sorrounded by historical sites. On its northern end rise Orthodox Cathedral, built in 20s, after union of Transylvania and other Romanian regions. Then, short walk will lead us to the northern and of a square, where is placed Palace of Culture, secessionist masterpiece. Inside we will visit Ethnographic and Folk Art Museum, and History Museum. Later we visit Greek – Catholic Cathedral and one of Targu Mures prides, Teleki – Bolyai Library, the first public library in Romania.

Sinaia and Wine tasting

Not everyone knows, that Romania is one of most important European wine producers. Our special tour to Sinaia is connected with possibility of tasting Romanian wine in a place where it is made.
First we will visit Sinaia Monastery, with its two churches, the oldest one from 17th century. Then we will go to the Peles Castle, the summer residence of royal family, built in between 1873 and 1914 in neo-renaissance style.
Not far from Sinaia lie the Azuga Village, with Azuga Rhein Cellar. Opened in 1892, was for long the supplier of the royal family. Here we will try famous sparkling wine, made traditional way, and a special dinner prepared by local chiefs.

Bucharest Panoramic and Walk Tour

On our tour you will see all highlights of the city, including Arch of Triumph, Romanian Atheneum, and Palace of Parliament. Panoramic tour leads through the most representative boulevards and squares of the city, such as Calea Victoriei Avenue, Victory Square, Revolution Square, Union square. If you like, we can organize also visiting of one of following: Parliament’s interiors or a Village Museum, outdoor museum of a rural architecture.
At the end, we take the walk through the old city district, visiting the ruins of Vlad Dracula’s residence, CEC Palace, Stavropoleos Church, Saint Anton Church, and the Manuc Inn.
